Defensa de Caballito Oeste ran riot against Club de Villa Crespo Este at home and sealed a 5-0 drubbing that leaves no doubt about who was superior in every corner of the pitch. With both sides lining up in a 4-4-2 and balanced mentality, the set-up was not the problem for the visitors: it was the execution, or rather the lack of it. The home side found the spaces, exploited them mercilessly, and when the opposition tried to respond, there were already mountains of deficit on the scoreboard.
Bauti Rivero, the 31-year-old Brazilian striker, was the undisputed star with two goals and an assist, showing why his 8.9 rating puts him among the team’s main men. Midfielder Jesús Gándara also netted twice from central areas, proving the 27-year-old midfielder is still in good form. Santiago Lipari completed the rout with a goal from the right flank, combining craft and opportunism. In the build-up play, Joaquín Szymanski, the 24-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder, orchestrated the creative moves with authority, while Ronaldo Egea, the 19-year-old winger, brought dynamism on the flanks. Jeremías Lera, the young 19-year-old visiting goalkeeper, could do nothing against a barrage of well-placed efforts.
For Club de Villa Crespo Este it was a nightmare. Polaco Benítez, the 17-year-old left-back, faced a tricky debut at this level. Miguel Rossini, the 26-year-old centre-back, was left exposed by the home attack moving the ball with ease. This was not a tight contest that swung one way at some point: it was a display of superiority from the very start. Defensa de Caballito Oeste keep adding points in Primera L - GBA Oeste, while Villa Crespo Este will have to take the defeat on the chin and find answers quickly if they want to get back into the mix.
