Match report

Los Sin Camiseta earned a deserved victory against Inter de Miami Beach in a tight match where both teams approached the pitch with seriousness, but without flashes of creativity to justify a greater spectacle. The balanced 4-4-2 formation was the choice of both managers, which guaranteed some defensive stability but also foretold a scrappy match in midfield. The goal from David Brunelli, at 32 years of age and with a rating of 7.2, proved decisive on an afternoon where the forward was the only player able to turn what his team created discreetly into something tangible. Brunelli is not a winger, but he has that accumulated ability only years of graft on the pitch can provide, an awareness of space that allows him to exploit openings when others are still working them out.

The home defence stood up well. Néstor León, only 18 years old but with a rating of 7.7, showed a composure unusual for his age at centre-half. Alongside Lautaro Jankowski, who at 29 still maintains his solidity (7.4), they formed a partnership that allowed no room for speculation. On the right, Saúl Urquiza covered the space well, while Toño Schwarz from right midfield carried out his role without any excess. Inter de Miami Beach created little attacking danger. Rolando Aranzazu in defence picked up a yellow card but kept his line firm. David Barbieri on the left tried to influence proceedings, but never found the rhythm to get past his man. Enzo Salerno, the other centre-half, tried to make up for the weaknesses with attitude.

The match lacked attacking intensity on both sides. Los Sin Camiseta made the most of their chances through Brunelli and that was enough. Inter de Miami Beach never really managed to trouble them, their Argentine-Paraguayan centre-halves failing to find fluency in possession. A deserved win for the home side, with no grand ambitions but effective nonetheless.
