Juventud Abasto wrapped up an afternoon of dominance with a 3-0 win over Club de Villa Crespo Este, leaving no doubt about who was the better side on the pitch. From the outset, the home side set the tempo against a visitor that arrived with balanced intentions but lacked the attacking resources to cause problems. Both approaches were conservative — 4-4-2 formations, even mentalities — but the difference lay in execution: Juventud Abasto finished its chances with surgical precision, while Villa Crespo Este barely created any real danger.
Galo Andueza was the undoubted star with two goals that sealed his 8.4 rating. The 28-year-old striker, in the form of his life, always found the right position to finish when his team-mates fed him the ball. Fabián Gallo, the 22-year-old right midfielder, was the creator and also found the net in an outing that came close to 7.7 points. Juventud Abasto's right side worked like a well-oiled machine: Gallo surged forward, Andueza finished, the net shook. At the back, Leandro Tassone in goal had little to do but was assured with his interventions; Ivo Caro at centre-back did his job without fuss. Seba Zella, the left-back, was a solid presence in defence.
At the other end, Villa Crespo Este never got into the groove. Leonardo Gutiérrez, the central midfielder aged just 18, tried to win back possession but his youth showed at key moments. Eduardo Ponce, another 18-year-old youngster on the wing, could not create sustained danger against a well-organised defence. Miguel Rossini in central defence did what he could against the opposition's attacking superiority. The away side left La Boca — or whatever ground it was — with no answers, chewing over a heavy defeat that, at this stage of Primera L GBA Oeste, on matchday 8, hurts all the more.
