Atletico Resaca
2 - 2
Club Lomito Completo
Match report
Atlético Resaca and Club Lomito Completo shared the points in a match where both sides showed attacking nous but also defensive frailties. The 2-2 draw on matchday 1 in Primera G - GBA Oeste reflects a tight fixture, one of those in which the four goals came with a certain naturalness in the play. Both teams set out to take the initiative, lining up in their 4-4-2s with an even mindset. Renzo Buffoli, the Bahía Blanca attacking midfielder who plays for Resaca, scored one of the home goals on a night when the home side had chances to take more. Jonathan Castelo, the young Uruguayan striker of seventeen in Resaca's ranks, also found the net in a match where the home forwards posed constant danger to the visiting defence.
At the other end, Club Lomito Completo responded through their own attackers. Lito Bertoletti, the centre-back from Comodoro who at nineteen dared to join the attack, scored a goal that underlines the visitors' creative capacity from the back line. Levi Rojas, the forward who has spent years running tirelessly in the south of the metropolitan area, also found the net in a solid performance. Constantino Viva, Rojas's striking partner, played an important part in the visitors' attack with an assist, although he did not escape the referee's booking.
Emiliano Bollini in the home goal and Resaca's defensive setup had a constant workload. The home side could not close out a result that on more than one occasion looked favourable, while Lomito Completo showed that they travel with plenty of arguments and the ability to create from different lines. A fair draw on an opening day when both sides left more questions than answers about what to expect over the course of the season.
