Real Mataderos Reserves took a comfortable win at Sportivo Once Sur's pitch in matchday 5 of Primera L GBA Oeste, with a convincing 3-1 that leaves no doubt about who was superior. The visitors arrived with a balanced approach, the same one used by the home side, but the difference lay in the execution. Sportivo Once Sur had their moments, mainly in the first half, but could not sustain the intensity needed to stop Mataderos' collective attack. Cristian Iturbe, a midfielder of just twenty and originally from Mendoza, managed to score the home side's consolation goal with a rating of 7.2, while Pichi González, the experienced 31-year-old midfielder who knows every corner of suburban football, provided a valuable but insufficient assist in a match where his team-mates did not respond as a unit.
On the visitors' side, Mataderos had their night of glory, especially in midfield, where Omar Munarriz showed all his veteran know-how. The 35-year-old holding midfielder not only scored a goal but also laid on an assist, showing that craft is non-negotiable: it is earned through hard work. Dylan Pessina, the 24-year-old striker from Rosario, and Federico Cuello on the left wing (23 years old, rating of 7.6) were key cogs in the attacking system that constantly pressed. At the back, centre-halves Octavio Zamora and Santi Zardini, both over thirty, dealt with the spaces well and carried out their work without any scares.
Mataderos' superiority built gradually. Once Sur tried to get González involved on the left at various stages, but Munarriz's circulation in midfield cut the supply lines of play. For Sportivo Once Sur, this defeat raises questions about how to compete from tactical parity when the opponent scores with greater efficiency. Real Mataderos Reserves, by contrast, confirms that their balance is real when all areas function in unison.
