Argentinos de Barracas produced an uncompromising attacking display at Estadio de La Paternal, thrashing Patriotas Almagro 6-1 on matchday 16 of Primera I-GBA Oeste. The home side dominated from the start with a balanced structure but were lethal in the final third, while the visitors could barely contain the wave of football unleashed by the neighbourhood team. Argentinos' superiority was so clear that they barely suffered. Patriotas could not construct anything coherent from the back and limited themselves to damage limitation, a task at which they failed spectacularly. The thrashing leaves the home side in a comfortable position in the table, while Patriotas will have to take a long, hard look at what went so badly wrong on this afternoon of attacking and defensive disaster.
