Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC2 - 0Club Social y Deportivo San Roque

Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC left no room for surprises on matchday 16 of Primera I de GBA Oeste. The home side dispatched Sportivo Once Norte 2–0, a scoreline that could have been wider, in a match where both teams opted for similar systems but where the difference in execution was enormous. The home team controlled the tempo without any alarms, made the most of its chances and managed the game from a 4-4-2 formation that allowed it to close down spaces naturally.

Lisandro Tellini got on the scoresheet and was one of the stand-out performers for the home side, with the right-back fulfilling his role in both defence and attack. In central defence, Aaron López and Julián Vitale formed a solid partnership, facing few problems against a Sportivo Once Norte side that created very little going forward. Goalkeeper Luciano Cerda, just 19 years old, looked after a goal that was barely threatened without any trouble. Víctor Pratto on the right wing, approaching 36, showed the energy of someone who still has plenty to offer, although the match did not demand too much of him this afternoon. Damian Muñoz in the visitors’ goal watched the goals go in without being able to do much, let down by a team that offered him little support when he needed it.

The Merlo and La Matanza side could find neither rhythm nor attacking fluency. Thiago Mancini, the young midfielder, tried to create movement but came up against intelligent marking. Toto Aizpún was booked, symptomatic of the visitors’ performance: hurried decisions and little judgement. Atlético Palermo Hollywood secured victory without needing to play cinematic football, relying on the pragmatism of a side that controls what matters. For Sportivo Once Norte, the 2–0 hurts because they made it far too easy.
