AD Belgrano R2 - 2Argentinos de Palermo Hollywood

AD Belgrano R and Argentinos de Palermo Hollywood shared the points in a match that had everything needed to be settled but ultimately ended all square. Sunday’s 2-2 draw at the home ground reflected two teams who went at each other intensely, without either managing to impose themselves decisively. Both balanced approaches produced an open match, with the goals arriving naturally in a constant exchange that kept the spectators attentive until the final whistle.

Belgrano R came out intent on dominating at home, but Argentinos de Palermo Hollywood were not overawed and responded intelligently. The first half was end-to-end, with each team enjoying spells of control without achieving complete clarity. The goals came in the second half, when both defences began to leave space in transition. Argentinos de Palermo Hollywood showed tactical solidity, making the most of the spaces left by their opponents and keeping their lines compact at key moments. For the home side, Belgrano R had to reinvent themselves several times to halt the visitors’ tempo, particularly out wide, where the Palermo Hollywood side looked to create danger.

The draw was fair overall, although both teams were left feeling they had dropped points. Belgrano R could not finish the match off at home, where home advantage should carry greater weight in these divisions. Argentinos de Palermo Hollywood were satisfied with the point earned away from home, but aware that the chances were there to take all three. On matchday 1 in this Primera H GBA Oeste group, both sides added the same number of points. Belgrano R will need to improve their accuracy in attack if they want to dominate at home. Argentinos de Palermo Hollywood, meanwhile, have the defensive foundations to challenge near the top if they can sharpen up in front of goal.
