AC Parque Avellaneda0 - 0Futbol Puchito

On a grey afternoon in Primera L GBA Sur, AC Parque Avellaneda and Argentino de Versalles shared the points in a goalless draw. It was a match where both teams played it safe, with mirror 4-4-2 formations and balanced mentalities that produced a game short on excitement. Not even the goal was breached, which says a lot about two defences that guarded their own territory firmly and two attacks that never found the depth needed to genuinely trouble the opposition.

For the home side, Pocho Bruschi did his job from left-back with the experience that comes from thirty-four years in football, while Leandro Elizalde, the twenty-two-year-old winger, failed to break through the visitor’s containment plans. For Argentino de Versalles, Lucca Bernardo in attacking midfield tried to create openings, though without the space he needed to show his quality (rating 7.2). In midfield, Chacho Gutiérrez and Indio Rivero maintained an effective block; the latter, at twenty-eight, was a solid screen who cut out the home side’s attempts to build. Agus Atxaga, the thirty-two-year-old midfielder on the right, had to settle for defensive duties and a yellow card that neatly summed up the match’s intensity without any real clarity.

The scoreless draw leaves both teams exactly where they started. For AC Parque Avellaneda it is a result that does little for them at home, especially on a matchday when other clubs were surely taking the chance to pull clear. Argentino de Versalles, for its part, stuck to the idea of not losing away from home, though it also failed to move forward in its ambitions. Matchday 7 will be remembered more for what did not happen than for what unfolded on the pitch.
