Primera B Metropolitana: Matchday 15 round-up

Sportivo Caballito continue to dominate the Primera B Metropolitana, the second tier, and yesterday delivered another statement win. Their 2-0 victory over Club Glew saw the leaders extend their advantage to 34 points, underlining their status as the team to watch. Meanwhile, Defensores de Versalles and Defensores de Agronomía put on a goalscoring masterclass: the former beat Atlético Morón Oeste 3-0, while the latter did the same against Club Monserrat. Villa Crespo also joined in with a 3-0 win over Sportivo Ciudad Evita.

In the day’s surprises, Sportivo Padua Oeste bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Club Coghlan, piling the pressure on in the promotion race. The draws also had their say: Sportivo La Boca could not find a way through against Club La Tablada, while Atlético San Telmo Norte and Defensores de Bella Vista shared the points without a goal being scored. That result suited the latter more, helping them hold on to third place with 25 points.

The next matchday promises plenty of movement at the top, so keep an eye on how the teams chasing the leaders respond.
