Primera Nacional Zona A: Matchday 11 Results and Table

Sportivo La Lucila are flying in Group A and are starting to pull clear at the top. The La Lucila side beat Atlético Recoleta 2-1 in a match that had plenty about it, taking them to 28 points with an impressive record: nine wins, one draw and just one defeat. Behind them, Sportivo Villa Lugano are holding off the challenge on 24 points after keeping a clean sheet against Sportivo Villa Lugano, a goalless draw short on excitement that keeps them under the radar but in the mix. Villa Soldati and Atlético Rincón remain in the hunt for a place among the leading sides: the Soldati team rescued a point against Defensores de Palermo in a 1-1 draw, leaving them on 20 points, while Rincón were beaten 2-1 by Sportivo Once, although they can still breathe on 19 points.

At the bottom, it was a complete disaster for the sides battling to stay up. Defensores de Bella Vista hit rock bottom, losing 1-0 to Sportivo Villa Ortúzar and remaining on just 6 points, practically done for. Club Almagro Sur could not even manage a decent draw, settling for a 1-1 result with Sportivo Nuñez and staying on 8 points, in serious trouble. Defensores de Villa Urquiza at least avoided a hiding in their 0-0 draw with Club Saavedra, but their 9 points still leave them among the worst-placed sides. Defensores de Flores tried, but went down 2-1 to Atlético Villa Pueyrredón — another blow for a team desperately in need of points.

Matchday 12 is already approaching, and in such an open group anyone can come up against anyone.
