Primera C: Matchday 15 round-up

Here’s what happened on matchday 15 in the Primera C, Argentina’s fourth tier: Club El Jagüel came flying out of the traps and put four past Atlético Spegazzini, who certainly weren’t expecting such a hammering. It was the day’s standout result, as Spegazzini had no answer to the onslaught. Meanwhile, Club Wilde remain unstoppable at the top with 33 points after beating Sportivo Llavallol without the opposition managing a single goal.

There were twists and turns all over the division. Atlético Junín BA comfortably beat Club Isidro Casanova 2-0, Club El Talar did the same against Sportivo Berazategui, and Club Saladillo edged past Sportivo Don Torcuato. Atlético Paso del Rey, still second with 28 points, took advantage with a 1-0 win over Defensores de Pilar, while Atlético Ramos Mejía caused a surprise in San Nicolás with a 2-1 victory that sees them making their mark.

At the sharp end, Club Jagüel moved into third with 26 points thanks to that big win over Spegazzini, Club Saladillo are fourth with 25, and Club El Talar break into the top five with 23 points. It’s all getting rather tasty, with Wilde opening up a lead, Paso del Rey breathing down their necks and several others refusing to give up on a place near the top.

Next matchday promises plenty, so get ready: in the Primera C, nothing comes for free and anyone can beat anyone.
