Primera D CABA: Matchday 15 roundup

Matchday 15 in the Primera D, the fifth tier, served up one of those painful thrashings. Club Atletico Las Heras were ruthless against Club de futbol nexo, running out 3-0 winners and showing just how dangerous they can be once they find their rhythm. At the top of the table, meanwhile, Real Alemao Fútbol Club remain out in front on 41 points after a goalless draw with Club El Carmen, who stay second on 37 points. Alemanía's side are unbeaten, but they still cannot quite seem to pull away in these latest fixtures.

There were surprises in mid-table to add a bit of spice to the competition. Rayo del Sur lost 2-1 at home to Atlético Azul, a result which leaves them third but desperate for a reaction, while Defensores de Tapiales beat Defensores de Villa España 2-1 in a local derby that had a bit of everything. Atlético Hudson and Futbol Club Los Merinos played out a goalless draw in a tight affair that left nobody entirely satisfied.

At the bottom, the results remained close. Sportivo Sarandí edged past Club Cuartel V 1-0 in the sort of match decided by the smallest details, while Club Atlético Pirata came away empty-handed from their 0-0 draw with El Almagrito. Defensores de Plátanos also took all three points with a 1-0 win over Club empleados del Ferro carril oeste de BsAs in a match short on thrills.

The next matchday is shaping up nicely, with the leaders looking to cement their position and the chasing pack trying to force their way into the promotion race.
