Primera Nacional Zone A: Matchday 9 Results and Table

Atlético Rincón went all-out on matchday 9, handing Club Villa Soldati a thumping 5-0 defeat that left no room for doubt. Meanwhile, Sportivo La Lucila remain unstoppable at the top after another win, this time 3-1 against Sportivo Once, taking them to 25 points without losing a match. Sportivo Villa Lugano are not far behind, brushing aside Club Almagro Sur 3-1 to cement second place. Atlético Recoleta also won in convincing fashion, beating Atlético Villa Pueyrredón 2-0 to stay in the promotion race on 17 points. At the top, nobody is giving an inch, and teams that fail to tighten up quickly will be left behind.

There was plenty going on at the bottom, too: Defensores de Flores landed an important blow by beating Sportivo Villa Ortúzar 2-0, although the result does not lift them out of trouble. Defensores de Villa Urquiza earned some breathing space from the bottom places with a 3-2 win over Atlético Pompeya, but they remain in the danger zone. Defensores de Palermo edged past Sportivo Nuñez 1-0 in a scrappy match, while Club Saavedra and Defensores de Bella Vista shared the points in a goalless draw that did little for either side. Atletico Villa Pueyrredón and Defensores de Bella Vista remain among the bottom clubs on 5 points each, battling to avoid relegation to the B. The next matchday should be a lively one, because in this league anyone can beat anyone.
