Primera División: Matchday 11 preview and kick-off times

Matchday 11 is here, and Boedo is set for a fiery night. Atlético Boedo, top of the table with 21 points and fresh from four straight wins, host Atlético Chacarita Sur in what promises to be a fiercely contested match. The home side have been a machine in this tournament, but Chacarita Sur will not be rolling over: they are tenth with 10 points and, despite a couple of draws recently, need to take something away from home to stay in the promotion race.

What is at stake for Boedo is clear: holding on to the lead they share with Defensores del Norte, who also have 21 points. For Chacarita Sur, every point is worth its weight in gold with the bottom half of the table so tightly packed, and any slip-up could leave them in trouble. The difference in form is huge: Boedo have won four in a row, while Chacarita have been picking up mixed results. The hosts therefore start as strong favourites, but football is football and anything can happen on the pitch.

At the other end of the table, things are heating up too. Sportivo Bahía Blanca are right at the bottom with just 4 points, but two consecutive wins have given them a much-needed lift. They face Sportivo Nordelta, who sit ninth with 13 points and need to keep climbing to avoid being dragged into trouble. If Bahía Blanca keep picking up points, they will be in the fight; if they lose, things could get seriously difficult.

At the top, Club Ituzaingó are third with 20 points and will be looking to draw level with the leaders when they visit Defensores de Liniers, who are sixth with 16 points and come into the match in good form. And do not miss Defensores del Norte, the joint leaders with 21 points, who face Atlético Parque Patricios, second from bottom with 7 points, in another fixture where the team at the top will be looking to make their mark on the matchday.

Every match kicks off at 21:00, so there is proper football on the cards tonight. Follow them live and see what the battle in the Primera División, Argentina’s top flight, is all about.
