Primera División matchday 12 preview and kick-off times

Matchday 12 is here, with Defensores de La Reja v Atlético Boedo shaping up as the standout fixture. The Boedo side are flying high, top of the table with 24 points and an impressive run of three straight wins, while La Reja sit 9th on 13 points and are in a proper rut: they have lost three of their last five. It is the sort of fixture where the side at the top arrive full of confidence and the one below them are desperate to shake things up, so expect the kind of drama that keeps you glued to the screen.

Atlético Pacheco do not have an easy assignment either. They are 5th with 19 points, but their recent run is a worrying one: just one win in their last five matches. Standing in their way are Club Ituzaingó, second in the table with 23 points and only just recovering after a couple of setbacks. It is a direct battle for the places near the top, so every point here could prove hugely important in the table.

Things are spicy at the bottom for rather different reasons. Atlético Parque Patricios are second-bottom on 8 points and in a difficult spell, having gone two matches without a win. Their opponents will be Sportivo Bahía Blanca, who are bottom with 7 points but are coming off a victory, so keep an eye on the sides down there: once they find a bit of confidence, they can spring a surprise.

Defensores de Liniers have wind in their sails, winning three of their last four, but today they welcome Defensores del Norte, who are third with 22 points. This is a fixture between teams in completely different kinds of form: one trying to throw themselves into the promotion race and another who, after a sticky spell, look to be finding their rhythm.

There are eight matches on the schedule, all kicking off at 21:00, so get everything on screen and follow the action live. Every result will shape the table in a different way, so do not miss it.
