Primera E - CABA: matchday 15 review

Matchday 15 of the Primera E, the division covering clubs from CABA (the City of Buenos Aires), served up a gripping title race. Los Gurises FC and KM 1 Calamar remain level at the top on 35 points each, but it was Calamár's side who made the biggest noise this week, putting three past Defensores de Parque Patricios without reply. Los Gurises, meanwhile, kept their winning run going with a 2-0 victory over Club Núñez, so the top two continue to pull away from the rest.

The other big talking point came in San Telmo, where Atlético San Telmo Sur ran riot in a 3-0 win over Social y Deportivo Batacazo Futbol Club Unidos. It was one of those hammerings that leaves a team smarting, with the San Telmo Sur side showing they are in excellent attacking form. In mid-table, Atlético Mataderos had to work a little harder, edging Sportivo Liniers FC 2-1 in a match that could easily have gone differently, while Árbitros fc also took all three points with a 1-0 win over Defensores de Almagro Sur.

The goalless draw between Defensores de Constitución and Defensores de Villa Devoto was the flattest affair of the round, although Constitución remain fourth on 26 points. Over in Belgrano, Sportivo Belgrano FC let a 1-2 defeat slip against Asociación Atlética Deportivo Batacazo Futbol Club, while Sportivo Caballito FC beat Benja fc 1-0 in a tight contest.

The Primera E CABA now heads into matchday 16, with the leaders looking sharp and everyone else trying to force their way into the promotion race.
