Primera E GBA Oeste: Matchday 15 review

Cuervos remain unstoppable in the Primera E, one of the lower divisions, and gave Club Zorros Lincoln a proper hammering: 4-0 at home. The black-and-whites are now on 35 points and opening up a gap at the top, showing they have plenty of steam left in the tank. They are difficult to stop at the moment — that is the reality.

Beyond the leaders’ result, there were several closely fought matches in which the home sides made home advantage count. Atlético Bella Vista edged past Villa Tesei 1-0 and remain in the promotion race on 27 points. Defensores de Paso del Rey also picked up all three points by beating Sportivo San Miguel Oeste, and their 26 points keep them in third place, just behind Bella Vista.

La Mansión were another side to win at home, beating Defensores de Morón 2-0, although the Morón side remain fourth on 25 points and firmly in the hunt. Meanwhile, Atlético Haedo came away from Sportivo Marcos Paz with an impressive 2-0 win, while Atlético Golondrinas FC were also effective at home, beating Atlético Bermúdez 2-0. Halcón Futbol Club completed the matchday with a 1-0 victory over Alumni Athletic Club, and Sportivo Francisco Álvarez claimed an away win at Club Entusiasmo.

The next matchday brings several return fixtures between these sides, so keep an eye on how the teams needing points respond if they are to stay in the race at the top.
