AA Villa del Parque Reserva1 - 2Argentinos de Chacarita

Argentinos de Chacarita took a deserved win in Villa del Parque, where both sides came out with identical setups but different intentions. The 2-1 final score reflects a tight match in which the visitors made the most of their chances while the home side, despite drawing level briefly through Augusto Riquelme, could not sustain the tempo required to take the three points. The eighteen-year-old right winger was the standout in the first half and scored with precision, but Argentinos responded with sharpness from the bench and down the flanks.

Gregorio Zunino and César Molina were the architects of Chacarita's win. The Brazilian full-back scored one of the goals with the composure of someone who knows the box well, while the eighteen-year-old midfielder, born in Comodoro Rivadavia, showed a calmness beyond his years to seal the result once the match had effectively been decided. Uriel Tellini, in Argentinos' goal, did his job without fuss; at nineteen, he showed the assurance of a goalkeeper who understands the game. In Villa del Parque, Yanis Cabrera was the side's most experienced player and provided the assist for Riquelme's goal, but at thirty-eight his presence is no longer enough to hold together a midfield line that needed more dynamism.

Xavier Visini, in Argentinos' defence, was solid in central marking. Joaco Tassinari's experiment on the left had moments of brilliance and others where the full-back looked somewhat erratic, which cost him a yellow card. For Villa del Parque, the match left the feeling of having come close but never truly being in it. The 4-4-2 formation was not enough against the balance the visitors also put together; they simply executed their chances of danger better. A defeat that hurts especially at home.
