Match report

AC Parque Avellaneda left no doubt in the south of the province, thrashing Independiente Agronomía 4-0 in a match where the home side imposed their superiority from the start. With a balanced 4-4-2 formation, the hosts found spaces that the visitors, also using a similar system, did not know how to close down. The result was emphatic: Adriano Navarro left with two goals to his name, while Edgardo Bonaccorsi and Valentín Bianco added one each. Agronomía’s defence, with twenty-nine-year-old Matías Teixeira at its heart attempting to contain the home attacks, could not halt the Avellaneda side’s attacking display.

Navarro, the twenty-two-year-old attacking midfielder from Rosario, was the man of the match. With a rating of 8.1, the San Martín youngster was everywhere, dropping deep to collect the ball and advancing confidently into opposition territory. Bonaccorsi, the centre-back who arrived from Patagonia without glamour or marketing promises, put in a solid defensive performance and even had the luxury of scoring a headed goal. For the visitors, Ángel Meyer, a nineteen-year-old striker with little experience, was overwhelmed by the pace of the game. Nahuel Stankovic, the thirty-eight-year-old goalkeeper at Agronomía, had little to do apart from picking the ball out of the net on more than one occasion. Pocho Bruschi, the thirty-four-year-old left-back who still gets plenty of playing time, was a constant presence in the home defence without facing any major scares.

For Independiente Agronomía, it was an afternoon to forget quickly in Primera L - GBA Sur. The visiting side never found any rhythm or attacking fluency, and their defence gave way far too easily in the face of Parque Avellaneda’s surges. Spadafora, the home striker from Comodoro Rivadavia, fulfilled his role without particularly shining, but the team worked like a machine that Sunday. Agronomía were left with the task of rebuilding in the following matchdays; defeats of this kind leave their mark.
