Atlético Villa Devoto1 - 1AD Palermo Hollywood

Atlético Villa Devoto and AD Palermo Hollywood shared the points in a fixture where the balanced tactical plans were reflected on the scoreboard. The 1-1 was fair, although Villa Devoto had the chance to take something more at home. Both sides showed their attacking weapons without managing to break a balance that held throughout the ninety minutes.

Negro Barrera, the 26-year-old Brazilian full-back who arrived at Villa Devoto almost by chance three years ago, scored the hosts' goal with a solid display in defence and attack (rating 7.2). At the other end, Iñaki Granado, a 32-year-old veteran with roots in Comodoro Rivadavia like many of his team-mates, levelled things for Palermo Hollywood with the same performance as his opposite number. Mateo Sironi, the holding midfielder aged just 18 and born in Comodoro, put in a solid shift in midfield, while Alexis Martínez completed the back four in the centre of the pitch with an assist that allowed him to show his judgement at 19 years of age. Santi Biscardi kept the visitors' goal secure with authority (7.1) although he was booked, as was Gianluca Ferreira in defence.

The match was far from boring, but it did not produce the kind of intensity that points to a clear winner. Villa Devoto controlled the tempo at times, but Palermo Hollywood knew how to exploit the spaces with Rodrigo Arechavaleta on the right looking to get in behind. At the end, both settled for the draw in a matchday that leaves the home side with a bitter taste for not making the most of home advantage, while the visitors leave satisfied with a point away from home.
