Club de Floresta Este2 - 1Deportivo Villa Crespo Veteranos

Club de Floresta East prevailed against Deportivo Villa Crespo Veterans by 2-1 in a match where both teams set out in the same way, but the home side knew how to make better use of its moments. It was a tight contest, without much in the way of polish, where the difference was marked by details: two well-taken finishes from the home side against just one from the visitors. The Floresta full-backs were decisive in attack. Horacio Sayago, the 30-year-old Paraguayan who has spent almost two decades at the club, scored one of those goals and showed his ability to push forward from the left. Camilo Zacchei, on the right, also joined in the celebration, though he paid for his enthusiasm to get forward with a yellow card.

In midfield, Juan Ramírez moved the play quickly from the right. The 20-year-old Colombian has that gift for tight flanks, that way of taking players on without much show. Maximiliano Artola, the Uruguayan striker, never quite found the rhythm Villa Crespo had hoped to contain, although it was not a match in which Floresta East bombarded the opposition box either. Rodolfo Zapata pulled one back for the visitors with the goal his presence deserved, that Córdoba striker who knows how to be in the right place, already accustomed to playing in veteran football.

Quique Zacarías, the 17-year-old Mendoza goalkeeper who still sparks curiosity whenever he gets a touch of the ball, had work to do but nothing that rattled him. Villa Crespo came to compete without unnecessary adventures, but Floresta East at home managed the tempo better. It was not a match to remember for the football, but it did deliver what any fixture promises when two teams understand their limitations and work from there. The home side takes three deserved points; the visitors leave with nothing, but not completely beaten.
