Sportivo Flores Sur0 - 1Mitre Sport

Liga Recoleta took a deserved victory on the pitch of Sportivo Flores Sur, with Andrés Brignole's goal in a match where both sides deployed similar tactics but the visitors were more clinical when it mattered. The final 1-0 sums it up well: a tight contest, with no space given away, where the difference came down to execution rather than tactical superiority. Flores Sur set up with a balanced 4-4-2 that tried to control the tempo, but Liga Recoleta found enough gaps to settle the match with a goal that, in the context of the game, did not prompt any major protests.

Brignole, a left-back with plenty of experience, was the decisive figure for Recoleta. Aníbal Galli, the 36-year-old goalkeeper who arrived at the club almost by chance, had little to do but was alert when called upon. For the home side, Mirko Ordoñez did his job without any notable errors, though he also had no interventions of real merit. Bautista Peñaloza tried to create problems down the right, but his lack of accuracy with the final pass limited his attacking contribution. Claudio Santini, a 33-year-old veteran in defence, was solid in the challenge, though it was not enough to nullify the visitors' wide men. Xavier Artola moved about in the middle with the ease that experience brings, while Lucho Vidaurre controlled the left flank effectively.

It was a typical match for this stage of the tournament in the Primera L of CABA: nothing much for the spectators to cheer, but with both sides making the right reads. Flores Sur were unable to complete any notable goal-scoring move and felt the weight of defeat. For Liga Recoleta, this victory consolidates their progress on matchday 9. The visitors were not brilliant, but they did not need to be.
