Federación Constitución2 - 2Club Atlético Santa Rosa

Federación Constitución and Pompeya shared the points in a Primera L debut that finished 2-2, with both sides showing attacking threat but also defensive vulnerabilities that neither fully managed to exploit. The match, played on the home side's pitch with identical 4-4-2 formations and balanced mentalities, was a constant exchange of blows where parity prevailed more than the supremacy of either side.

Lorenzo Carrizo was the spearhead of Federación Constitución's attack, with two goals that kept the home side in the fight right to the end. At 26 and with a rating of 8.4, the Mendoza striker showed why he is a star: anticipation, precision in his finishing and the ability to punish the space Pompeya left at the back. For the visitors, Leonardo Bonechi caused a surprise with a goal from central defence, something unusual but a reflection of how Pompeya looked to create danger from all angles. Luciano Werner also got on the scoresheet, with the Comodoro-born midfielder showing the versatility that defines him. Both sides carried a constant threat, albeit without the defensive clarity required for a clean finish.

What this draw left was the sense of a missed opportunity for both. Federación Constitución controlled periods but could not finish it off with Carrizo at his best. Pompeya, with Bonechi still at learning age at 17, showed character to level a match that could have been decided differently with more concentration in the final minutes. Fede Basile in the home defence and Santi Rojo between the sticks did their jobs without alarms, but nor were they quite decisive enough. A fair point to begin the season, though both will leave this pitch knowing they left points on the table.
