Indep. Villa Soldati1 - 1Cooperativa San Telmo

Independiente Villa Soldati and Cooperativa San Telmo shared the points in a fixture where both reached goalscoring positions but neither had the accuracy or the composure to take the win. At the home stadium, the Villa Soldati side built a balanced structure that worked in spells, while the visitors from San Telmo came up with a similar approach but failed to capitalise on their chances. The final 1-1 scoreline neatly reflects what happened on the pitch: two teams who cancelled each other out more than they got the better of one another.

Kiki Müller, the 33-year-old Paraguayan midfielder, was the man who put Villa Soldati ahead with his goal. Even at his age he remains a creative reference in midfield, and although his 7.2 rating speaks of a very good performance, it was not enough to settle the game decisively. At the other end, Jeremías Trevisan levelled for the visitors with a finish that ensured Cooperativa did not leave the pitch empty-handed. The 25-year-old midfielder from Comodoro Rivadavia put in a solid display despite ending up booked. Sergio Sorbi, from Villa Soldati's midfield, was the one who provided the assist for the home goal and carried out a reasonable holding role. For San Telmo, Thiago Páez, the 17-year-old youngster who plays as a central midfielder, also left his mark with an assist, although he too saw yellow.

What was clear is that both teams have room for improvement in their finishing. Villa Soldati failed to make their early lead count and lost momentum as the match wore on. San Telmo, with a younger squad in certain areas, had chances to win but lacked defensive solidity at times. For the next matchday, both will need adjustments in the final third if they intend to climb the standings.
