Atlético Mataderos0 - 0LOS GURISES FC

Atlético Mataderos and Club Flores FC shared the points in a match where a lack of efficiency was the common denominator. Both teams looked to build play from the tactical balance of their 4-4-2 setups, but neither managed to find the space needed to break down defences that stayed well organised throughout the ninety minutes. The goalless result reflected a tight contest, where quick transitions never quite turned into clear chances.

Mataderos had Miguel Greco and Joaquín Gallo as their central midfielders, both carrying out a solid defensive job but without the ability to give the team any forward momentum. Greco, the youngster from Resistencia, was booked for an unnecessary foul in midfield. Bertolini, up front, could not find any space to do damage. For Flores, Gabi Fernández on the left tried to create an imbalance from his position, while Bruno Ríos, the right-back just sixteen years old, showed energy but lacked precision in his crosses. Ricardo Torres, with his thirty-four years of experience, was a defensive wall who kept the home attack under control without any major trouble. Lisandro Cabrera, Flores' playmaker, had a quiet evening.

The lack of cutting edge in the final third was clear in both teams. The aerial balls found no target, the runs off the ball were predictable and the crosses lacked effectiveness. Neither Mataderos nor Flores created any clear scoring chances. The yellow cards for Gallo for the home side and Ríos and Cabrera for the visitors were the only talking points in a first matchday without any real excitement. A fair draw in terms of performance, though unsatisfying for both sides' intentions.
