Sportivo Belgrano FC1 - 1Defensores de Villa Devoto

At Sportivo Belgrano FC's stadium, an afternoon of balanced football unfolded, with both teams showing intent without ever managing to set themselves apart decisively. Primera E de CABA opened its season with two identical line-ups, 4-4-2, and evenly matched mentalities that ended up reflected in a 1-1 draw that was fair on what was seen on the pitch. Lautaro Acosta, the sixteen-year-old centre-back who arrived from Mendoza hungry for football, stood out in defence but also found the goal that opened the scoring for the home side. The youngster from Mendoza showed that, despite his age, he has the tools to compete in the division, posting a rating of 7.2 on an afternoon when he defended assuredly and also pushed forward.

At the other end, Luis Sosa levelled things up for Defensores de Villa Devoto. The thirty-one-year-old left winger, forged on the pitches of Merlo more than two decades ago, remains a valuable outlet in the away side's attack. Sosa also finished with a 7.2, showing that experience remains a valid currency in these divisions. Cristian Castro, the home winger who knows about tough neighbourhoods and grafting from the bottom, picked up a yellow card during the match, perhaps for some minor altercation along the way.

The draw left both clubs with their first points on the table. Sportivo Belgrano had the home advantage, with Hugo Quiroga leading the line and trying to link up with Acosta, while Ignacio Conti looked to create from attacking midfield for the visitors. It was a season opener without major shocks, where tactical parity prevailed over any desire to take too many risks. One point each, and on to add more in the next matchdays.
