Match report
Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC edged CR Parque Patricios in a tight match on the fifth matchday of Primera I - GBA Oeste, with a 2-1 scoreline that accurately reflected the course of the afternoon. Two teams with similar set-ups, both in a 4-4-2, went toe to toe with tactical balance but differing abilities to make the difference at decisive moments. The home side had the chances needed to win and took them; the visitors, with greater attacking difficulties, pulled one back late but could not find an equaliser.
Sebastián Giménez was the difference-maker for the home side: the 23-year-old left-back scored one of the goals and put his body on the line when necessary. In defence, Lisandro Tellini at right-back and Aaron López at the back were solid, while Claudio Navarro in midfield controlled the tempo without too many complications. Víctor Pratto, a 36-year-old veteran on the right wing, fulfilled his role without flashes of brilliance but without any major errors. For Parque Patricios, Samuel Tossi from the attacking midfield position provided an assist for Ezequiel Rotondi's goal. At 30, Rotondi continues to show that instinct for being in the right place, although his 6.9 rating highlights his limitations. Tossi, with a 5.9 rating, revealed the difficulties his team is experiencing in creating play.
Atlético Palermo Hollywood's merit was knowing how to play an unremarkable but effective match, making the most of the spaces that the visiting defence could not fully cover. Parque Patricios were not simply unlucky: they had their moments, but lacked the attacking presence to apply real pressure. A yellow card for Rotondi and another for Tossi completed the disciplinary picture. The home side pick up valuable points in the table; the visitors leave with the feeling that they have dropped two.
