Match report
Patriotas Almagro secured a comfortable victory at Sportivo Once Norte's ground, winning 2-0 in a match where the visitors knew how to capitalise on their chances while the hosts faded as the minutes went by. Both teams set up similarly — 4-4-2 formations and a balanced mentality — but the difference lay in their efficiency and who executed better at key moments. Patriotas Almagro arrived at Once Norte hungry, and that was clear from the first half.
Horacio Galván was the home side's executioner, scoring one of the two goals that sealed the visitors' victory. The nineteen-year-old right winger, raised on the dusty pitches of Patagonia, found spaces that Sportivo Once Norte failed to close down precisely. Elías Villegas, the twenty-six-year-old forward from La Pampa, supported the attacking effort with the solidity of someone who knows all about physical exertion. Aaron Valentini, the thirty-seven-year-old central midfielder, was the anchor Patriotas needed in midfield: a veteran who brings order without fuss. In goal, Raúl Tamargo — just seventeen years old but with the assurance of someone playing where many would hesitate — dealt with the little that came his way. Sportivo Once Norte, with Bevilacqua and Valentino looking to create from midfield, never found the rhythm to cause any real concern. Seba Berasategui was booked in an attempt to stop them, but the home centre-backs — Berasategui and Toto Aizpún — were exposed too often. The home side showed a lack of attacking depth and a defence that failed to stay compact. This result leaves Patriotas Almagro with three valuable points in the race for Primera I GBA Oeste, while Sportivo Once Norte will have to rethink its approach if it wants to compete seriously.
