San Cayetano FC0 - 3Pibes Retiro

Pibes Retiro took a commanding win at San Cayetano with a 3-0 scoreline that leaves no room for debate. The visitors executed with precision what San Cayetano could not sort out at the back, making the most of an afternoon where the home side finished thoroughly disjointed. Both teams fielded similar shapes, balanced 4-4-2s, but the difference lay in the quality of execution and the home side’s lack of tactical response when everything started to unravel.

San Cayetano found no answers. Benicio Modarelli, the midfielder who was booked, failed to impose his game in midfield and the full-backs Leonel Besozzi and Ronaldo Macías were exposed by the visitors’ advance. Pibes Retiro, by contrast, had clear standouts: Nazareno Haddad, at thirty-one, showed experience and the ability to create play, while Aaron Arichabaleta controlled midfield with authority in the central area. The goals came from all over, with Joaquín Rosenfeld opening the scoring from the back line, Mateo Silvestre extending the lead from the right and Nicolás Cadel wrapping things up from the left. A spread that speaks of a side functioning as a unit, without relying on a single man.

For San Cayetano, there was little left but the frustration of a Saturday where the opponents were superior in every aspect. The difference was not one of attitude but of footballing clarity, of reading the game. Pibes Retiro picked up three important points in the south zone of GBA, while the home side will have to regroup quickly if they want to keep their ambitions alive in Primera I.
