Match report
Deportivo Mataderos Veteranos cruised to a comfortable win over Defensa de Agronomía Centro at Estadio de GBA Sur, taking a result that leaves no room for argument: 2-0 on matchday 11 of Primera I. The home side were more decisive, more practical, and made the most of their chances, while the visitors barely threatened. Two 4-4-2 line-ups with balanced mentality, but with clear differences in execution. Mataderos were direct, turned the ball forward quickly and found the space; Agronomía Centro, by contrast, had the ball without knowing what to do with it. Emanuel Loza sent one of his active full-backs forward down the left wing and celebrated with a goal that reflected the home side's control. The other goal came from David Moya, who despite an early yellow card did not let his intensity drop and finished with composure when the chance came his way. Genaro Anzorena, the 22-year-old goalkeeper, did not have too much to do, just a couple of routine interventions. Liam Arazandi in midfield was solid despite the booking, while Ariel Morales did the job up front without any flashes of brilliance.
For Agronomía Centro, the defence with Valentín Romagnoli in the centre tried to close off the spaces but it was not enough. Nico Vigliani on the right and Sergio Pessina on the left could not find a way to get past their markers, their crosses were inaccurate and the early sideways passes did not create any momentum. The visitors were predictable, slow in transition and lacked the imagination to break through a defence that waited patiently.
With this win, Mataderos pick up three points that move them up the table. Agronomía Centro, meanwhile, go away empty-handed and will have to rethink how to be more effective on their next trip, because good intentions are not enough in the First Division.
