Estrella La Boca2 - 2AA Villa del Parque Reserva

Two goals at each end and a draw that left both sides wanting more at Estrella La Boca's pitch. Matchday 14 in Primera L GBA Sur left the two teams with mixed feelings: Villa del Parque Reserva went away annoyed at having failed to take all three points as the visitors, while the home side might have won but did not manage it either. The four goals came in even fashion, with neither side able to assert themselves clearly on a pitch where both played with similar set-ups in search of balance.

Osvaldo Souto was the architect of Estrella La Boca's opening goal, the 23-year-old midfielder who arrived at the academy almost by chance after being spotted in a friendly between neighbourhoods. His strike gave the home side some breathing space, although the match was never one of domination. Toño Soldini, the eighteen-year-old winger from Mendoza, also made his mark on the scoresheet. For the visitors, Gonzalo Ruiz and Augusto Riquelme were the marksmen who kept Villa del Parque alive, with assists from full-back Adrián Ferreira and midfielder Yanis Cabrera in the build-up. Gustavo Zarate, Estrella La Boca's 27-year-old left-back, also had his share of attacking involvement.

Parity was the defining feature of the contest: two 4-4-2 sides who understood one another through a game without much sparkle. No thrashings and no suspense, just that draw that does justice to both but leaves neither celebrating. Estrella La Boca keep their home campaign unbeaten, while Villa del Parque take a point that feels too little considering the effort. In Primera L GBA Sur, these results are par for the course: decent matches, with no glory for anyone.
