Match report
N. Estrella Flores showed their football at home and gave no chances. The 2-0 victory against El Vencedor de Montserrat on matchday 15 of Primera L - GBA Oeste was one of those matches where the home side controlled the tempo without needing any bursts. Both squads went out in a 4-4-2 shape and with an even mentality, but the side that knew the pitch best managed it better. The goals came without drama: Edu Zampedri and Marcelo Zappa scored to seal an afternoon where Montserrat never came close to troubling them.
Left-back Zampedri, 23 years old and hardened in Patagonia since childhood, made the most of his runs down the flank to open the scoring. Zappa, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder who knows his way round the mechanics of the game, finished the job with his second goal. In midfield, Enzo Vidoni at 34 is still that veteran who organises things without fuss: a rating of 7.4 speaks of a solid match in control. The youngster Raúl Retegui, at just 17 springs old but already on a 7.3 rating, showed an appetite in attack. Negro Bartoli in defence was reliable, with 30 years behind him and a 7.5 rating from a full-back who guards his space as if they were those inherited boots he never gives up.
On the visitors' side, there was little to salvage. Axel Valenzuela in goal, 18 years old and newly arrived from Mendoza, finished with a yellow card and watching balls go past. Ramón Montoya in midfield did not have the rhythm to break up the home side's play. Ruso Saposnik did his job at full-back, but without being able to create anything. N. Estrella Flores takes three points without fuss, while Montserrat returns to Buenos Aires with the certainty that they need something more.
