Club de Floresta Este2 - 1Ferro Balvanera

Club de Floresta Este prevailed over Ferro Balvanera in a match that had more intensity than sparkle, settling the three points on Sunday afternoon with a 2-1 that, while not quite gallery material, was a fair result in the context of what both teams put forward. Both sides came into it with balanced intentions, without going in for unnecessary risk, and that shaped the tempo of a fixture where space was scarce and tackles arrived before the technical flourishes.

The Floresta Este side found their goals through attacking movement, with Maximiliano Artola enjoying a productive afternoon in attack. The Uruguayan striker, who carries the legacy of a promising but erratic start at the club, knew how to be in the right place at the right times to finish the chances his team created. At the back, the centre-back pairing of Aaron Gareca and Rodrigo Weber stood firm against the visitor’s assaults, both turning in excellent displays of game reading to counter what Ferro were offering. Full-back Horacio Sayago, at thirty, showed why he remains a reliable piece in his position, blending attack and defence without overdoing either. Elías Stankovic in central midfield kept the game ticking over sensibly, though without any spark of inspiration to break the monotony of proceedings.

Ferro did not deserve to leave empty-handed after their effort, although they did not do enough to take anything more. Misael Arrojo, the nineteen-year-old youngster, pulled one back with a goal and showed the ability to cause problems in attacking midfield, while Gabriel Centurión from the rear guard acted as a reliable defensive anchor. The defeat leaves the visitors with a duty to respond in the coming matchdays, while Floresta Este pick up three vital points in a competition where the margins for error are minimal. A win without much celebration that reflects the reality of this Primera L.
