Aurora de Villa Devoto left no room for doubt on their home pitch, dispatching Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC with a convincing 4-1 win on matchday 13 of Primera I GBA Oeste. It was one of those matches where the tactical balance promised a debate, but the execution settled it quickly. Both teams lined up in a 4-4-2 with a balanced mentality, but Aurora found the spaces and punished them without mercy. The visitors tried to compete, but lacked the defensive consistency to stop the home forwards. Galo Aristegui pulled one back for Palermo Hollywood, but it was little more than a consolation on a grey afternoon for the away side.
Benjamín Palomino was the star of the show: he scored twice and confirmed why his 8.4 rating puts him among the best in the league. At 28, Palomino has the coolness in the box that defines experienced forwards. The other brace came from Liam Bilbao, a 25-year-old central midfielder who disrupted the tactical pattern from midfield. His attacking foray was spectacular; Atlético Palermo had no idea how to mark him and ended up with a yellow card that reflected their frustration. Genaro Tagliaferri, the 37-year-old winger who continues to contribute from the flanks, provided an assist. At 24, Negro Sacchi handled the centre of defence well alongside Coco Anasagasti. There were no major scares at the back, just organisation and discipline.
For Atlético Palermo Hollywood, the match was a reminder that competing in this league requires more than good intentions. Galo Aristegui, their 28-year-old forward, offered little attacking threat beyond his goal. Aurora controlled the tempo, managed the rhythm and executed with the precision the visitors could not match. With this victory, the home side strengthens its position in the table, while Palermo Hollywood will have to review its defensive mechanisms before the next fixture.
