Unión Palermo Hollywood2 - 4Federación Constitución

Federación Constitución left Unión Palermo Hollywood out of breath at Palermo, with a victory that admits no argument: 4-2 on matchday 7 of the Buenos Aires Primera L. The visitors took to the match from the first minute with a tactical clarity the home side could never manage to counter. Both teams came out in a 4-4-2 and an even mentality, but the difference lay in the execution: while Constitución took its chances, Unión Palermo Hollywood was left with intentions alone. The two home goals came through Patricio Sifuentes and Lucio Bottani, but they were merely a tonic for a match dominated from start to finish by the visitors.

Palermo Hollywood's defence had a difficult afternoon. Fede Basile, Federación Constitución's 35-year-old centre-back, displayed a reading of the game that only comes with years in the trade, anticipating attacks without needing to hurry. Xavier Rizzo, his partner in the visitors' back line, backed him up solidly. In midfield, Ronaldo Bravo pulled the strings with no fuss, while Mateo Pollini scored one of the goals. Pichu Kovaleski tried to make his mark for the home side, but his 28 years of experience in Comodoro Rivadavia were not enough to stop the visitors' machine. Lucas Domínguez in Constitución's goal barely had any work to do, but when he was called upon he dealt with it securely.

The result reflects the reality of the match. Unión Palermo Hollywood had its moments, Sifuentes and Bottani answered on the scoresheet, but Federación Constitución was superior in consistency and determination. A defeat that hurts because it was no accident, but rather the product of a rival better positioned tactically. For the home side, the task is clear: review what happened at the back and recover the solidity that will allow them to compete again in this Primera L, where there is still plenty to play for.
