Patriotas Núñez0 - 0Club Atlético San Silvines De Boedo

Patriotas Núñez and Vet. Barracas met at the home stadium with the intention of adding points in the seventh matchday, but what ended up as a balanced encounter turned into an exercise in mutual frustration. The final 0-0 was the reflection of two teams that opted for tactical caution, both with four-defender and four-midfielder formations that prioritised order over ambition. It was a match where the search for a goal never felt urgent enough to break the opposition’s defensive block.

For Patriotas Núñez, Joaco Vicente on the right tried to create a few openings from midfield, although without the incisiveness that might have changed the game. Matías Borda at right-back did his job without any major exposure, while Damian Neumann, now 34, did not find the spaces that would have allowed him to lead the attack. The Mendoza-born striker was systematically neutralised by the visiting defence. On the Vet. Barracas side, Ramiro Greco as the attacking midfielder had the responsibility of creating attacking play, but his efforts did not amount to much. Joaco Aspiazu on the right wing barely managed to trouble the home structure, and his presence in the match was lost in a tactical spider’s web that neither team managed to tear apart.

The goalless draw leaves both teams in a grey area: Patriotas Núñez pick up a point that is of little use at home, while Vet. Barracas rescue a valuable point away from home, though they were expecting more after their trip to CABA. For Neumann and co., the challenge now is to recover the attacking edge that is lacking when faced with defensive setups. For the Barraclenses, this kind of collective lack of precision in the search for a goal could become a problem if it continues in the coming matchdays.
