Como1 - 1Estrella Villa Riachuelo

Club de Caballito Este and Estrella Villa Riachuelo shared the points in a match where both put forward similar ideas but neither had enough weight to tip the balance. The final 1-1 reflects an even fixture, with no great attacking ambitions, where the central midfielders had more of a starring role than the forward lines. On Caballito’s pitch, the home side tried to make the most of home advantage but ran into a well-organised visiting defence that knew how to neutralise attempts to stretch the play.

Pancho Vivenzio was the home side’s standout: the 28-year-old left-back scored his only goal with real opportunism and kept the attacks flowing down the flank. Miguel Bilbao, the 24-year-old striker, picked up a yellow card but had inconsistent spells in attack. Ethan Montoya, the experienced 34-year-old midfielder, did his holding job without shining too brightly. For the visitors, Patricio Brogli scored for Estrella Villa Riachuelo with clinical finishing: the 25-year-old striker did not get many chances but took the one that came his way. Roberto Biagioli, the 23-year-old left-back, provided a valuable assist that led to the visitors’ goal, showing that despite his youth he has a good reading of the game.

The draw does not fully satisfy either side. Caballito Este missed the chance to take all three points at home, while Estrella Villa Riachuelo leave content enough, though they did not truly dominate the match. The next matchday will be key for both: the home side cannot afford any more home slips, and the visitors will need to be more clinical when they visit tricky pitches in the south of Greater Buenos Aires.
