Cooperativa San Telmo0 - 1Juventud La Boca

Juventud La Boca took all three points away from San Telmo thanks to the lone goal from Giuliano Bassi, in a match where both sides set out with balanced shapes but the margin was slight. The visitors' midfielder appeared at just the right moment to break a deadlock that refused to budge, in a tight contest where neither side managed to impose itself clearly. Cooperativa San Telmo had its chances, but lacked that touch of clarity in the final third to turn openings into goals.

It was one of those matches where experience ends up carrying more weight than intent. Yamil Zegna, the 27-year-old winger with a rating of 7.7, was a constant thorn on the left flank of the side led by ELDT, causing discomfort in the home defence with his runs and crosses that kept San Telmo's back four permanently on their toes. Ariel Naranjo, the visitors' 30-year-old goalkeeper, had barely any work to do, more because of his team's defensive solidity than any lack of chances for the home side. For San Telmo, Kevin Rizzo did his job on the right without any fuss, as is his habit at 37 years old. The youngsters Liam Baldini and Thiago Páez, both 17, saw action but made no real impact. Páez even picked up a yellow card that leaves him walking a tightrope.

For Juventud La Boca, the win comes at a time when consistency is the order of the day. Cataldo Bernardo, Santino Saborido and Bassi himself accounted for a solid defence that kept the home side's intentions in check. Cooperativa San Telmo still cannot break a run that keeps them outside the places that matter in Primera I - GBA Sur. The attacking debt remains the outstanding assignment.
