Sociedad Parque Centenario brushed AC Parque Avellaneda aside without any real trouble in matchday 5 of Primera L-GBA Sur. The final 2-0 reflected the home side's superiority, as they controlled the match from a balanced setup that allowed them to neutralise the visitors' attempts without needing any risky gambles. Parque Avellaneda came in with an identical tactical shape but never managed to impose sustained pressure, condemned to react against a defence that operated securely.
Uriel Schiavi was the match's executioner. The 27-year-old striker scored two goals with the precision of someone in the form of his life, taking advantage of the spaces offered by an unorganised visiting defence. With a rating of 8.4, Schiavi showed why he is the side's main attacking threat: movement, finishing ability and positional sense. Leonel Marín, the midfielder of just 20, complemented the work with an assist that showed tactical maturity for someone only just arrived at this level. David Barrios on the left and Galo Troncon on the right controlled the flanks without difficulty, while Mirko Medina, the 33-year-old veteran, oversaw midfield with his experience. Parque Avellaneda found no answers. Tito Vivaldi and Pocho Bruschi at full-back tried to create play down the wings, but the connections never flowed. Eric Valenzuela, the 23-year-old winger, had a quiet match without any clear chances to unbalance the defence.
The result leaves Sociedad Parque Centenario with a comfortable victory that adds three points without unnecessary expenditure. For Parque Avellaneda, this defeat lays bare the difficulties of competing against organised teams; they will need to improve their build-up play significantly if they want to stay in the fight.
