AD Palermo Hollywood3 - 1AA Villa Urquiza Reserva

AD Palermo Hollywood did not need too much complexity to overcome Villa Urquiza Reserva on matchday 14 of Primera I. The final 3-1 scoreline is deceptively comfortable: the home side controlled the tempo, made the most of their moments and executed without fuss. Both squads lined up in identical formations with balanced mentalities, but the difference lay in their attacking precision. Palermo Hollywood found spaces where Villa Urquiza Reserva left gaps, particularly in a defence that fell apart when solidity was required.

Camilo Bisi and Fernando Aldama shared the attacking responsibilities, although it was the 27-year-old from Santuario who carried the greater burden. Bisi scored one of the goals and contributed to the attacking build-up with an assist that showed his ability to read the game. Aldama, the 24-year-old from Comodoro, did his job without any extraordinary flashes. But the key was Manu Gareca. The 22-year-old Chilean midfielder, a left-footer from the neighbourhood who can strike the ball with both feet, scored once and assisted another. His presence in midfield made life uncomfortable for Villa Urquiza Reserva. Diego Téllez pulled one back for the visitors in the only moment of attacking clarity the team enjoyed, but it was not enough. Gino Zoppi, a 21-year-old right-back, tried to provide solutions for his team down the right flank; he even has an assist in his statistics, although his bookings point to a defence under pressure. Lorenzo Gándara and Alfredo Trotta held the home side’s rearguard together without too many complications.

For Palermo Hollywood, the home win consolidates an untroubled run on matchday 14, where they had no need for heroics. Villa Urquiza Reserva leave La Boca without answers on how to stop the home side’s attacking threat, particularly when defensive disorganisation turned into opportunities. A match that will become part of the league’s weekly routine.
