Atlético Villa Chiche2 - 0Aurora de Parque Patricios

CR Barracas comfortably overcame Aurora de Parque Patricios on matchday 14 of Primera I de CABA, in a match where the home side controlled the tempo without needing any spectacular displays. The final 2-0 scoreline sums up a solid performance from the home team, who looked comfortable in their 4-4-2 formation and found in their opponents’ balanced structure an ideal platform from which to impose their authority without taking unnecessary risks. Aurora arrived in La Plata with similar intentions but lacked the attacking resources to cause any real concern, and that was clear from the outset.

Dante Tello, just sixteen years old, made a notable contribution in Barracas’ midfield and scored one of the winning goals, displaying the precision in his feet that characterises him. In defence, Misael Zanini was a standout in attack with a rating of 7.7, although he also picked up a yellow card worth noting. Felipe Zanforlin on the left and Alexis Azqueta, the experienced thirty-four-year-old full-back who continues to roll up his sleeves in that area, controlled the space down the flank well. In goal, Camilo Aragón, the young twenty-year-old Brazilian, had little to do but was reliable when called upon. At the other end, Joel Azqueta in the visiting goal could do little against Barracas’ clinical finishing, while Luciano Vivaldi and Tiziano Triboldi, veteran defenders who know their way around a battle, barely managed to halt the home side’s attacks and were unable to create danger on the counter.

The result cements CR Barracas in the upper reaches of the table. Aurora, meanwhile, leave La Plata without a point and with a clear need to improve their goalscoring ability significantly if they are to compete in this division. It was an untroubled victory, the kind of match that defines winning teams more than any on-pitch epic ever could.
