Match report
Federación Constitución took all three points from Floresta Este in a match where both sides arrived with similar set-ups but with key differences in execution. The final 2-1 neatly summed up what happened on the pitch: a tight match, with no space on offer, where the visitors made the most of their moments and the home side could not capitalise on theirs. Two balanced 4-4-2 formations produced a scrappy battle in midfield, with neither side overdoing it, but with margins so fine that every detail mattered.
Misael Buffoli and Alejandro Reyna scored for Federación Constitución, making it clear that the wide men and full-backs were the corridor through which the visitors' danger flowed. Buffoli, 27 and in his prime, moved the ball well down the left, while Reyna, the 32-year-old veteran, used his experience to join the attack when the chance allowed. In goal, Lucas Domínguez was reliable when called upon. At the other end, Horacio Sayago scored Floresta Este's goal and was probably the home side's best defender, though his contribution in attack was not enough to make the difference. Maximiliano Artola was involved in the assist but without leaving the imprint he would have needed to change the outcome.
What was clear is that Federación Constitución handled their transitions better and used the width of the pitch with greater purpose. Floresta Este had chances but lacked cutting edge in both boxes. The home side created their own openings, but the visitors were more effective when they came. In the relegation play-off zone, this leaves Federación Constitución with some breathing room, while Floresta Este will have to look at why they could not turn their home display into points.
