Federación Constitución0 - 1Club de Floresta Este

Federación Constitución did not deserve to lose, but Club de Floresta Este made the most of their chances and took all three points at home with a 1-0 that perfectly sums up this kind of fixture, where both teams wanted the same thing and the side that was more clinical ended up winning. Two sides with identical approaches, balanced in intent, who cancelled each other out for much of the matchday in the Primera L de CABA. Camilo Zacchei’s goal down the visitors’ right-hand side made the difference in a match where mistakes were few, but clarity was scarce too.

Ronaldo Bravo and Alejandro Reyna, veterans in Constitución, did their bit in defence but could not stop Floresta Este creating what was needed in the final third. For the visitors, Quique Zacarías barely needed to work in his goal, and at just seventeen he is already showing a security that has surprised in these early fixtures of the season. Horacio Sayago, at thirty and with his experience, organised the flank defence without fuss, while Lolo Leyva operated in midfield as the catalyst Floresta Este needed to sustain the pressure. Aaron Gareca shut down lines with solidity whenever required. Misael Buffoli tried from the left for Constitución but without the continuity the match demanded.

The yellow cards for Reyna and Bravo did not alter the course, though they left Constitución on alert for the next fixtures. For Federación Constitución it was a defeat that hurts because they made no glaring errors but also failed to make the most of their moments. Floresta Este confirms that with balanced squads and a serious mentality it is possible to win away from home, especially when the opposition fails to find the net. The second matchday was not what Constitución had expected.
