Apolo fc3 - 1Futbol Puchito

Villa Soldati did not need too much to subdue Argentino de Versalles on matchday 15 of the Primera L of the GBA Sur. With a convincing 3-1, the home side displayed a superiority that translated into goals without any great alarm: Yoel Vannini scored twice and Ezequiel Coelho completed the tally in a match where both teams lined up in the same tactical shape, 4-4-2, but where the difference showed in the execution.

Vannini was the main attraction of the show. The 28-year-old midfielder, that player who has been at Villa Soldati for more than a decade and who changed his life for an almost casual chance, once again showed that versatility which makes him dangerous both in the pass and in the shot. With a rating of 8.4, he was among the standouts of the fixture. Coelho, younger at 24, appeared at the right moment to seal a performance that allows the home side to edge closer to more comfortable positions in the table. For the away side, Indio Rivero managed to pull one back with a goal that was little more than consolation on an afternoon when his team could not find enough resources to trouble Juan Schwarz between the home sticks.

What became clear is that Argentino de Versalles arrived in Soldati with no attacking threat. Central midfielder Rivero, with a rating of 7.2, tried to organise things from midfield but without effective support. Villa Soldati, by contrast, showed a more fluid circulation where Adriano Besozzi on the left and Vannini himself on the right created the space needed for their forwards to have clear chances. The 3-1 result does not lie: it was a comfortable win for the hosts, with no unnecessary drama, on a day when the teams that read the match best came out on top.
