CR Paternal2 - 0AA Villa del Parque Reserva

CR Paternal did not need to work any magic to defeat Villa del Parque Reserva at the home ground. Two goals and none conceded on matchday 15 of Primera L in GBA Sur. The result bears the hallmark of efficiency more than spectacle. Both teams set out with a similar approach, using 4-4-2 formations and balanced mentality, but it was the home side who knew how to capitalise on their chances while the visitors were left trying.

The match unfolded on a pitch where Paternal moved their pieces with clarity. Diego Calabretta, the full-back who came through in Comodoro Rivadavia, carried out his defensive task without any scares with a rating of 7.6. In attack, Gustavo Maestre on the right wing showed the team's intentions, that eighteen-year-old Colombian whom the scouts uncovered in a low-key friendly. Nico Salvatierra in midfield provided the backbone, with his 33 years of experience and a 7.5 rating. Polaco Venturini, a veteran of the club and a team-mate in several campaigns with Salvatierra, scored one of the goals. Alexis Zaffari on the left was solid despite the yellow card he was shown in the match.

Villa del Parque Reserva failed to impose themselves. Yanis Cabrera, a 38-year-old midfielder with a 6.7 rating, did not find the energy to dictate the game from midfield. Tomás Strozzi in goal had an understated match and picked up a yellow, though without making any major mistakes. Coco Cazón, the 19-year-old midfielder, tried to distribute the ball but produced only a merely decent performance. The away side left Paternal without any notable responses, unable to create any real danger. For the winners, three points that strengthen their position in the group. For the losers, a debt still to be paid in GBA Sur.
