Match report
Sociedad Parque Chacabuco knew how to manage their superiority at home and beat CJ Villa Lugano with just the right efficiency demanded by Primera L de GBA Norte. A goal from Mauro Bardi was enough for the home side to take the three points on a matchday 14 where both squads chose to keep tactical balance. The thirty-year-old striker, who arrived in Chacabuco almost by chance years ago, scored in a match where neither side threw caution to the wind.
The fixture was tight, as the type of result suggested. Bardi made the difference with efficiency, something that in these divisions carries as much weight as a lead brick. Esteban Aboud put in a solid display at right-back for the hosts with a rating of 7.7, while Lucio Ulloa, the 33-year-old man from Mendoza, brought his experience from the other flank. On the left, Tadeo Biscardi did his defensive job despite picking up a yellow card. Loly Baldo on the left was useful in attack without particularly standing out. For Villa Lugano, Simón Bugliani in goal did what he could with a modest rating of 6.6. Santino Fernández, another 33-year-old veteran who knows these battles well from his spell at Comodoro Rivadavia, tried to contain the hosts without much success. Noé Molina on the left was the visitors' most incisive player but it was not enough.
For Sociedad Parque Chacabuco, the victory strengthens their position in the table of a very competitive group. For Villa Lugano, there was the feeling of a match where they lacked that extra bit of clarity in attack. In a competition where the margins are narrow, the difference between winning and losing often lies in this: who scores first and who keeps concentration until the end.
