On the pitch of C. y Barrio Montserrat, two sides with similar approaches met in a match where the draw was a fair reflection of what happened over the ninety minutes. The Primera L GBA Norte witnessed an even contest, with little in the way of clear chances, where both 4-4-2 formations looked to take control without managing it decisively. The final 1-1 summed up this battle with no winners, though no real losers either.
Gino Silvestre opened the scoring for the home side, showing the effectiveness of a striker who, at 33, remains lethal in the box. The experienced forward from Comodoro Rivadavia made the most of his space with the composure of a man who knows the trade. In reply, Social y Deportivo Villa Soldati found the equaliser through Iñaki Rinaldi, the 18-year-old who showed pace and intelligence to seal the visitors' goal. Mauricio Caetani, the Mendoza midfielder in the away side, was key in the build-up with a 5.9 rating, solid if unspectacular. Fede Miranda picked up a yellow card at left-back for the Villa Soldati side, while Caetani also went into the referee's notebook.
The match lacked overwhelming attacking intensity. The full-backs tried to create from wide areas, and Gabi Tonon on the visitors' left side showed promise without that being a synonym for effectiveness. Ezequiel Moya, the veteran Tucumán striker aged 31, failed to provide the cutting edge the side needed. For C. y Barrio Montserrat, Silvestre's goal was not enough to tilt the pitch. The draw leaves both teams without much joy in the table, though not with a sense of defeat either. It was one of those matches the Primera L regularly produces: flat, predictable, where nobody can complain because nobody gave less than the other.
