Liga Núñez4 - 2Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC

Liga Núñez produced overwhelming football in GBA Oeste and swept aside Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC with a convincing 4-2 win that leaves no doubt about who was the better side on the pitch. The hosts’ balanced approach worked to perfection, while the visitors never found a way to contain the attacking flow of a team that knew how to take every opportunity. With two similar formations on the pitch, the match was decided by finishing: Liga Núñez converted their chances; Palermo Hollywood FC did not.

Dante Zumpano was at the heart of the home side’s play, earning a rating of 7.4 that reflects a solid performance in which, as well as dictating the central play, he found spaces between the lines to score and set up his team-mates. Rafael Bandiera also left his mark with a goal that extended the lead. In defence, Marcos Andueza performed his role in goal capably despite conceding twice; Lucca Gil was reliable on the left. Bruno Wieczorek, the eighteen-year-old youngster, showed plenty of character in midfield, although he was booked during the contest. For the visitors, Lisandro Tellini scored from defence and Andrés Tellini did likewise in attack, but these were only flashes from a team that failed to build a consistent attacking plan. The Tellini brothers, Patagonians who know the difficulties well, could barely hold back the avalanche.

With this victory, Liga Núñez establishes themselves near the top of Primera I in GBA Oeste after just the second matchday. Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC will have to reflect on their defensive performance and look for a quick response if they want to remain in the race for the top positions. This was a match in which tactical balance existed, but finishing was the true compass.
