Match report
In a match where both teams approached things with similar ideas, Sportivo Flores Norte and Belgrano Villa Crespo shared the points on matchday 12 of Primera I GBA Norte. The 1-1 draw was a fair result for two 4-4-2 set-ups that looked to keep their balance without taking unnecessary risks. The home side had the advantage of playing at home, but it was not enough to take all three points against a visiting side that knew how to defend when needed and find its chances in transition.
Iván Camargo, the sixteen-year-old full-back for Sportivo Flores Norte, was the one who opened the scoring with a goal that showed the team's attacking qualities. The youngster from Merlo took advantage of the space left by the opposition defence and made it 1-0, which seemed to put the match on course for a home win. However, Axel Aramburu, the veteran midfielder aged 37 who represents Belgrano Villa Crespo, levelled things up with a goal that allowed the visitors to get back into the game. Aramburu, with all the experience he has built up over the years, showed that even in his thirties he still has the tools to be decisive. Ethan Rainoldi contributed in the home attack with an assist that highlighted the defensive effort of the hosts to preserve their lead.
Belgrano Villa Crespo's goal came when it seemed Flores Norte might extend their advantage, and that made for a more open match in the closing stages. Gonzalo Simoni, Villa Crespo's striker, was important in the visiting side's defensive transitions and also played his part by providing an assist in attacking moves. Brian Ferrari controlled the midfield for Flores Norte with composure, keeping the opposition's surges at bay. The draw ended up being a fair conclusion to a contest in which neither side managed to impose itself clearly, leaving both squads with mixed feelings in the table.
